Welcome to the Joiner Marriage Index
This is Paul Joiner's definitive resource for marriage records before civil registration, that is, from the years before 1837 with over 2,200,000 online marriage records, now in 26 counties.
The Joiner Marriage Index is the only online resource to offer such a complete set of marriage records from parish registers, the main source of marriage records before 1837 in England. It is the fruit of more than 30 years of painstaking research and data collation by Paul Joiner. The resource is always growing as more data is transferred from our offline records. No payment is required to make a basic search of the marriage records, and a lot of information can still be gleaned in this way. Progression through to the complete marriage records requires payment through PayPal, and having done so the data is displayed almost immediately. An email backup also follows with a password to view the marriage records in the results section of the site.
The cost of a search starts from £2.50 for up to 10 marriage records. This increases by £1.00 per 10 records up to a maximum of £21.50 for 200 records. Searches for more than 200 records should be requested directly from Paul for a more personal touch.
The Joiner Marriage Index is also the home of the Genuki pages for County Durham and Hertfordshire.
